Film Trailer analysis

Film Trailers
The Village trailer (Horror)
The advert creates tension by not revealing the villains and also builds up with innocent villagers being preyed on.
The music contained in the trailer is high notes. typical horror sounds and music which make the viewer jump and create a dark atmosphere
The viewer can tell it is a horror/drama from the serious speech and storyline which is shown through text.
From watching the trailer we can see it is aimed at an audience of 15 plus as it contains violence and a horror theme which isn't suitable for young kids. It could also be aimed at fans of the director, M. Night Shyamlan.

Inception trailer (Drama/Thriller)
The advert uses music to create a sense of action and keeps a fast pace. The trailer is trying to convey an ongoing sense of action so the viewer knows that the film isn't long winded.
The trailer also uses star appeal to convince the viewers to watch the film. Various close ups of Leonardo Di Caprio and Michael Caine are used so the viewer knows that the film isn't amateur.
In my opinion the trailer is of a good quality and uses constant shots and dramatic music to create a sense of ongoing action which will be included in the film.

Music Video Analysis

Music Videos
Johnny Cash - Hurt
The genre for this music video is country western. Johnny Cash is also seen using a piano and an acoustic guitar. The music video has a storyline which is Johnny looking back on his life and we can see this from the flashbacks and the low quality images. The video is memorable as it is a downbeat video for the song and the storyline makes the listener feel sorry for Johnny Cash which is why it could be considered as memorable.

Prodigy - Smack my B*tch up
The genre for this music video is electro/techno and this is portrayed through controversial imagery and a anarchist style for the narrative. The video is shot in a Point-of-view style which shows the crazy night out of a person who is drunk and on drugs which is why it is considered controversial. The actions of this person are stereotypically male such as going into a strip club and starting fights, however the plot twist at the end reveals that the main character is actually a female. this narrative is why it is considered a memorable and controversial music video.

SurveyMonkey Analysis

Using SurveyMonkey.com we created a proffesional survey which had a range of questions on sports drinks. Our objective was to gather certain information on what the public want. 10 different questions were created and sent out via a weblink over email and social networking sites such as Facebook. This had the potential to gather a range of different answers from a range of different people. We had 10 responses which had a mixture of results.

50% of the responses said they drink energy drinks during and outside of excercise, from this its clear that a energy drinks attract enough customers who are excercising which gives us confidence for our new drink.

This is an example of the important information we gathered from the online survey. This information was gathered anonymously on SurveyMonkey and would be helpful in later stages of the products life cycle.

Logo

This is the original concept logo for our product. We all decided on the theme of Red early on to show power and energy through the logo and grab the attention of the audience. Also as the product will be aimed at younger audiences it needed to look lively.

However, after creating a new image for the logo we decided on the Rhino Head which showed power and drive and goes with our powerful and punchy radio advert. The text was kept the same as it stands out and fits under the logo to make the logo seem whole and finished.
